Why you should publish your article in a Routledge, Carfax or Taylor & Francis journal
Our journals are chosen by leading academics world-wide - here are some of the reasons why:
An international reputation for excellence in scholarly publishing
We have been publishing scholarly journals since 1798, making us one of the longest established journal publishers in the world. Over the last two centuries we have gained a solid reputation for the integrity and authority of the research we publish. In addition, we are backed by many of the world's leading societies and associations, on whose behalf we publish, and we have developed many international journals. Finally, our reputation rests on our group of prestigious editors and editorial boards, and we work closely with all parties to ensure that the journals continue to publish top-class, highly cited and important primary research world-wide. In 1999, we were presented with the Publisher of the Year award by the College and University Booksellers Association
A global audience for your research
all of our journals are published and circulated to an international audience, our journals are among the key titles retained each year by libraries and faculty world-wide. In addition, the online editions are made available free of charge to subscribing institutions enabling desktop access to your article by faculty within each institution.
Respected, highly cited journals
most of our journals are covered by the ScienceTM, Social Science and Arts & Humanities Citation Indexes, published annually by ISI which selects only the top journals in each field.
Wide dissemination of your work
our commitment to you does not stop at accepting your article for publication. We send out the journals to all the key abstract research databases to ensure it is accessible to a wide audience. In addition, we alert a listserv that your article is about to be published using SARA - a list of over 100,000 academics who have asked to be kept informed of new articles in this area. In addition, the journals listed here are all part of the CrossRef project - an international cooperation between international publishers allowing active reference linking between publishers and not just within journals from the same publisher.
High quality production
we have been producing scholarly journals for two hundred years, and in this time our production processes have been developed to suit editors and authors. Our aim is to make you, as an author, feel good about publishing in our journals, so that you will be encouraged to submit your next work to it. Unlike some other publishers, we do not have page charges for our journals, and we typically provide between 25 and 50 offprints of each article to the author.
